HRSDC reports loss of personal data
Canadian federal goverment department, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, recently reported the loss of a USB storage device containing personal information of about 5,000 Canadians. The department has notified those affected by the privacy breach, and reported that there was no evidence that the lost data had been used for fraudulent purposes.

StanChart Kenya urges customers to change ATM PINs
Standard Chartered Bank Kenya advised its customers to change their ATM PINs after a number of users claimed to have fallen victim to ATM card fraud, with withdrawals allegedly made from their bank accounts without prior authorisation. The bank has yet to confirm or deny such allegations.

HKMA warns of fraudulent website
Hong Kong Monetary Authority alerted members of the public to a fradulent website with the domain name "www.winghggroup.com". The website looks similar to the official website of Wing Hang Bank, but the bank has since denied connection with the website and reported the case to the authorities for further investigation.
